PBA builds bigger presence in Hampshire

READING – PBA has opened a new office in central Winchester this week. The practice already has a presence in key centres across the South, and the Winchester location, to be headed up by experienced planner Adrian Barker, will help support our many clients and projects in the region.

Adrian joins PBA from Bournemouth-based planning consultancy Terence O’Rourke, where as Technical Director, he managed the implementation of large-scale regeneration projects in London and the redevelopment of Whiteley town centre.

“I have worked alongside PBA on a number of significant residential and retail projects over recent years and have always been impressed by the individuals, the breadth of knowledge and the clear client focus,” said Adrian, “so I was eager to become part of such a forward-thinking organisation, with a clear sense of direction and team spirit.”

The Winchester office, located in Southgate Chambers, will have a significant planning and land development focus, with access to the resources of PBA’s 760-strong national team.

“With offices across the country, PBA is already involved in a wide range of fantastic projects in the south of England,” said Partner Tony Russell. “We have helped shape and deliver infrastructure plans for Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton and Hove, as well as major development projects in East Cowes, Basingstoke, Whiteley and Portsmouth Northern Quarter. The new office will put us right at the heart of development activities within the region, including the enormous potential for the Solent generated by the Southampton and Portsmouth City Deal.”
