Qualified as a Civil Engineer, James has over 25 years’ experience as a transport planning consultant within the development, planning and infrastructure markets.
James is an experienced multidisciplinary project director and on behalf of PBA leads residential, industrial and commercial projects in the private sector, most notably the recent delivery of the Leigh Road Bridge project. He has also advised the public sector on individual projects including Reading Station and HS2. These opportunities have brought James a rich blend of project knowledge and experience that he is adept at applying to meet his clients' development aspirations.
Identifying innovative solutions to achieve viability from an early due diligence stage is a skill that James both possesses and enjoys. His capability in developing visionary transport strategies to inform accurate decision-making for clients in their pursuit of buying or selling sites has proved valuable on many occasions.
Other key areas where James excels from a transport planning perspective include site allocations, conceptual design and masterplanning, cost and risk appraisal, transport assessment and modelling, travel planning, technical evidence, stakeholder negotiation and infrastructure procurement practices. James has a good appreciation of other technical areas through his project management and leadership of multidisciplinary projects for PBA.
