Nigel has been at PBA since 2013, when he joined to set up PBA’s landscape team, with a portfolio of work across the UK. He has a Diploma in Landscape Architecture and is a Member of the Landscape Institute.
Nigel's core skills as a landscape architect and wide experience in environmental issues enables him to understand the broad picture in environmental projects, giving him a successful track record in delivering robust but pragmatic schemes. In particular, he has successfully supported clients in proposals for sites in sensitive settings such as AONBS, historic parklands and other protected landscapes.
He has acted as an expert witness for public and private clients covering landscape and visual impact for windfarms, major highways, residential developments, mineral extraction and restoration schemes and agricultural developments.
Nigel has been responsible for the production of landscape and visual impact assessments for infrastructure and reclamation projects, and the design and implementation of extensive mitigation schemes in the public and private sectors.
Nigel believes in an integrated approach to environmental design and encourages early landscape input into projects to unlock land, realise opportunities and reduce risks. He uses his experience in working with all design team disciplines to achieve pragmatic and focussed solutions.
