Tony is a chartered civil engineer who graduated in 1982 from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Civil Engineering. Tony spent 15 years working in the mining and minerals industry before joining Hannah Reed & Associates in 1999 and latterly PBA in 2013 through PBA's acquisition of the Hannah Reed business.
Tony has almost 35 years’ experience in the field of civil and structural engineering covering both design and construction.
Based in Yorkshire, his technical design work includes projects in the healthcare, residential, retail, energy, industrial, transport and education sectors. Drawing on his experience in the mining and minerals industry Tony is well acquainted with the challenges posed by mining legacy issues impacting on development throughout the Durham, Yorkshire, Midland and South Wales coal fields.
A selection of projects in which Tony has either led the PBA team or had significant involvement include the St Paul’s Development site at Junction 35A of the M1 at Sheffield; the redevelopment of South Shields town centre by Henry Boot Developments and a number of schemes for the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Doncaster Royal Infirmary and a variety of NHS Trusts in the Yorkshire/Midlands region.
