Lower Lea Valley Waterspace Strategy Published

A study undertaken by Peter Brett Associates and LDA Design for British Waterways and London Thames Gateway Development Corporation explores the opportunities to incorporate the waterways of the Lower Lea Valley into the investment strategies of commercial enterprises, community stakeholders, planners and investors.

Philip Wright, LLP Director, Peter Brett Associates, said: "The strategy sets out a number of proposals and interventions that embed waterspace principles within the context of the range of different character areas in the Lower Lea Valley. It is effectively a Visual Business Plan aimed at building on the improvements in spatial and environmental quality already in place, to support the local and regional economy and benefit commercial enterprise and the community."

Neil Mattinson, partner, LDA Design said: "We are delighted to have worked with Peter Brett Associates on this study, which identifies a range of leisure and commercial opportunities that will help rejuvenate the Lower Lea Valley."
