Energy Park, Rookery South, Bedfordshire, UK
Leading the way in designing for
sustainable living
We provide engineering solutions that meet the changing demands of the market place, by constantly evolving to stay at the forefront of change. Working on one of the first EfW (energy from waste) plants to be linked to a new town is one way in which Peter Brett Associates LLP (PBA) is staying ahead of the pack.
As developments become more sustainable, consumption of energy and production of waste have both decreased. However, climate change and energy insecurity are continually pushing for great efficiency and better management of resources. Rookery South Energy Park, located in a 20m deep, 90ha, former brick pit is strategically positioned to service Marston Vale, a new community leading the way on how we think about sustainable living.
As we have been ahead of the curve with sustainable solutions for decades, Peter Brett Associates welcomed the opportunity to work on what will be the first EfW plant linked to a new town. The plant will provide co-generated heat and power for the town as well as within the Eco Park. The EfW will be associated with a biomass plant and wind turbines located around Marston Vale. We are providing an extensive range of services including master plan and infrastructure design to create a platform for the Rookery to be developed and linked to Marston Vale.
