Eurovea Riverfront
(Previously Pribinova Waterfront) Bratislava, Slovakia
Increasing project value through effective stakeholder management
The ability to identify issues and find, support and effectively present solutions to stakeholders is vital to producing timely and cost effective results for clients.
Background
Eurovea is located on 25ha of dockland which had been derelict for over a decade. Within walking distance of the old city, the location is ideal for redevelopment to retail and residential structures. Once completed, the retail development will be the only commercial centre of its size in the area and a major focal point in the city.
Solutions
Located on a riverfront, Eurovea’s site has a water table that causes major complications and expense for any construction built to a depth greater than two underground levels. Both the client and local government believed traffic flow created a necessity to plan for more than two levels of underground parking greatly increasing the project’s time and cost demands. We produced evidence and argued successfully that, based on traffic modelling, no more than two levels of parking were necessary. Our ability to use our solutions to redefine the demands on a project created a saving for the client of large amounts of time and millions of Euros.
