Porto Cervo Redevelopment,
Costa Smeralda, Sardinia
Creating value through functionality and form
When dealing with the rich and famous great care must be taken with every detail. As an experienced multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy we are positioned to see both practical, functional solutions as well as the details that make a development prestigious and improve its market value.
Background
Porto Cervo, in Italy’s Costa Smeralda, is one of Europe’s most upscale holiday destinations enjoying top billing among the world’s most privileged travellers. Unfortunately, since its construction nearly forty years ago, Porto Cervo’s veneer has begun to lose some of its gloss.
Solutions
Combining form and function, we created sensible solutions while simultaneously increasing the resort’s land value. The infrastructure upgrades and masterplans that we designed focused on integrating new developments with existing urban and natural environments to maximize the functionality, aesthetic impact and market value of new, built features. Buildings placed within the low density residential developments not only took engineering issues into account but also focused on maximizing each structure’s architectural presence.
