Cutting-edge sustainable elements

In an example of how cutting edge sustainability elements can complement cutting edge research, Peter Brett Associates LLP (PBA) have been commissioned by Quintain Estate Developments, in partnership with the South West Development Agency, to provide engineering, transportation and environmental support for a 25ha site. The site forms the first phase of a 170ha mixed-use development area to the north-east of Bristol.

The initial phases of the project, supported by the three universities of Bristol, Bath and the West of England, with other science and aerospace-oriented industries, comprise a £14m innovation centre and major site infrastructure valued at £11m. The innovation centre features a landmark forum atrium and a range of cutting-edge sustainable elements. The wider site layout fully embraces the Manual for Streets/Urban Design approach.

We are providing a comprehensive range of services as well as supervising the works and monitoring them in accordance with our construction environment management plan.
