Air and Noise
Air quality impact assessments and noise and vibration assessments are often required to accompany planning applications, as well as PPC Permit authorisations. We have extensive experience of assessing the environmental impact of transport, waste management facilities and industrial sources of pollution and devising appropriate mitigation strategies.
We have provided strategic air quality advice to the UK, Chinese and South African governments as well as the European Commission and undertaken numerous assessments for a range of developments and facilities. We have expertise in Health Impact Assessments (HIA) and Climate Change Assessments.
We work closely with our structural and M&E colleagues and associated architects to produce holistic solutions to building acoustics and vibration issues, such as intrusive noise and the build up of sound in buildings including offices, schools and auditoria. We also carry out noise assessments for transport and land development projects.
We provide fully integrated transport, air quality and acoustics assessments and experienced expert witnesses for public inquiries. Our computer model output is user friendly and can be tailored for public consultation.
