Flood risk modelling

Flood risk modelling

The management and assessment of flood risk is underpinned by our understanding of the hydrological and hydraulic processes involved. Our team of hydrologists and modellers are not only experienced in applying all of the usual modelling packages, but have the creativity to use these to develop solutions that add value to our clients.

Our years of work with the Environment Agency and Internal Drainage Boards means that we are able to develop models that meet their requirements and can easily be approved.

Hydrology and hydraulic modelling are used to support all areas of our water business, encompassing flood risk assessments and environmental statements, fluvial, coastal and surface water flood alleviation schemes, reservoir safety, design of hydraulic structures, river restoration and hydropower.
