UK – PBA, now part of Stantec, will be working with VolkerFitzpatrick to deliver improvements to motorways and A roads as part of the Highways England Routes to Market Regional Delivery Partnership.
Highways England has announced deals with thirteen supply chain partners to collaborate regionally to carry out up to £8.7 billion of work on England’s highways. The new framework will see the thirteen Delivery Integration Partners develop, design and construct highway projects across England from 2019 through to 2024.
VolkerFitzpatrick has been named as one of the partners for the East and South East; a lot worth £350million. They have appointed PBA as their design partner for the works.
Commenting on the announcement Tony Wake, PBA, Director London and South East said:
“PBA are delighted to have been appointed to Highways England’s Delivery Integration Partnership Framework in the South East and East Region as VolkerFitzpatrick’s design partner, building on our strong relationship in the region. We are confident that we will bring a fresh approach providing the flexibility needed for the Band A programme of works over the duration of the Framework.”
The Routes to Market Regional Delivery Partnership now incentivises contractors to improve the safety and journeys on our roads, providing rewards for companies who more accurately manage roadworks, buy more efficiently, reduce road noise, encourage innovation and increase environmental benefits.
