PBA shortlisted for Best Apprenticeship Scheme by the CIPD

6 June 2019

UK – PBA, now part of Stantec, has been shortlisted for Best Apprenticeship Scheme in the prestigious CIPD People Management Awards.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) People Management Awards celebrate and reward the outstanding achievements and contributions made by HR and Learning & Development professionals.

Commenting on the announcement, Sarah Cook, Director of People, said:

“This is a great achievement for PBA. We’re very proud of our apprenticeship programme and the talent that it consistently nurtures. Our HR team work tirelessly to monitor and improve the programme to ensure we’re offering our apprentices the very best opportunities to learn and develop their careers. We’re delighted that the hard work of our HR team, and all those who support the programme throughout the business, is being recognised by the CIPD.”

PBA has enjoyed widespread recognition for its apprenticeship programme in recent months. In November 2018, PBA was named Best Apprentice Employer at the Berkshire Apprenticeship Awards and is one of the finalists in the Apprenticeship Initiative category of the upcoming 2019 Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards.

Our apprentices have also been enjoying success in their own right, with four apprentices reaching the finals of local and national awards and Matthew Chandler being named the ICE London Apprentice of the Year.

The full shortlist is now available on the CIPD website and the winners will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner held on Tuesday 24 September at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
