Rahul Patalia, Partner – Buildings 15 Jan 2016
Rahul joined PBA in 1997, after graduating with an Engineering degree from the University of Bath, and became a Partner in 2015. As a structural engineer, he has a specialist interest in buildings and architecture, and has been very involved in growing and developing PBA’s delivery-focused Buildings team from our London office.
Rahul’s expertise spans numerous sectors, and he has worked on some of London’s biggest mixed-use regeneration schemes, as well as high-end offices, retail, schools, and complex city centre refurbishment projects – including the award-winning Agar Grove Estate in Camden, the Bermondsey Spa Regeneration in Southwark, The Streatham Hub redevelopment and First Central 200 in Park Royal. He has also overseen sensitive preservation projects, including the refurbishment of Grade I- and II-listed Taylor Institute at the University of Oxford.
Rahul is a strong advocate of promoting the benefits of a more holistic approach to engineering design and one that ensures a coordinated response to the unique multi-disciplinary engineering challenges faced by our projects. He has been published in several technical journals and has been a speaker at a number of seminars and conferences.
